No. Your payments happen exactly where they do today — your bank, your card, your checkbook. standley is the system of record: it logs what you paid and allocates it against invoices so your books always know who's owed what.
How do payments get applied to invoices?
Oldest invoice first, automatically. Record one payment for a vendor and it clears their oldest bills in order, splitting across invoices when it needs to — with every allocation recorded, so any balance can be explained.
Can it remind me what's due this week?
The payables screen leads with outstanding, overdue, and due-this-week totals, and overdue bills surface on your dashboard's needs-you queue — on desktop and on your phone — until you've recorded the payment.
Is the vendor list separate from maintenance?
Same directory. The plumber you call from a maintenance issue is the same vendor whose invoice you log in payables — saved once, used everywhere.
